2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival. With over 250 film submissions from more than 30 countries we are excited to bring you our biggest and best festival yet.

The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival (WMFF) is a production of Wasatch Mountain Arts (WMA), a 501(c)3 non-profit, working to advance film, arts, and culture in Utah and beyond. We rely on dedicated volunteers from around the community to generously devote their time and skills to the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival, and our year-round programs that support impactful storytelling.

We encourage you to join in helping support this spectacular community event so we can continue this tradition for years to come and expand the community programming we offer!

about the 2024 Wasatch Mountain film festival

The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival is a week-long outdoor adventure and environmental documentary film festival where impactful stories are told through the eyes of explorers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe. Along with screenings of this year’s top outdoor adventure films, festival-goers can hear from world-class changemakers at our Mountain Speaker Series, hone their filmmaking skills at our Adventure Filmmaker Workshops, and connect with the Wasatch community at our Adventure Art Market & Beer Garden.

YEAR-LONG PROGRAMMING

With multiple state-of-the-art theaters and it’s location in the heart of Salt Lake City, we’re excited to host the 10th year at this spectacular venue.

Filmmaker Education

The film industry thrives on collaboration and knowledge sharing between experienced filmmakers and those just starting their journey. But for aspiring filmmakers without those industry connections, the learning curve can be daunting.

That’s where the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival steps in. We recognize the current lack of formal mentorship programs out there. Our filmmaker education programs aim to help bridge that knowledge gap and provide much-needed support and resources to those new to the industry.
