The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival’s opening night Filmmaker Dinner is an invite only evening from 7–10 PM on the Spyhop Rooftop Patio in Salt Lake City.

Our opening-night tradition includes a cocktail hour, a short film with opening remarks and live music with a communal dinner to kick off the festival. Located in Salt Lake City’s vibrant Granary District, the Spyhop Rooftop Patio offers a dynamic, creative setting that reflects the neighborhood’s blend of industrial character and emerging arts culture, making it a fitting backdrop for the 2026 WMFF opening night—where filmmakers and guests can gather above the city, surrounded by a district known for innovation, community, and reinvention.
