JOIN THE ADVENTURE

The primary mission of the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival is to both question and celebrate the human experience and reconnect us with nature. This is a week-long outdoor adventure and environmental documentary film festival based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Come experience film screenings, a Beer Garden and Adventure Art Market, workshops, and a speaker series at the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival, where impactful stories are told through the eyes of adventurers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe.

2024 Festival Venue:

Jewett Center for the Performing Arts and Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory

With multiple state-of-the-art theaters and it’s location in the heart of Salt Lake City, we’re excited to host the 10th year at this spectacular venue.

Festival Films

Each year our selection of documentary films showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, adventure, political and social justice issues.

Beer Garden & Adventure Art Market

The Adventure Art Market and Beer Garden will be a unique experience that will feature vendors and artists from the community. You can enjoy outdoor gear brands, nature inspired art, and drinks as you walk through the festival’s entertainment.

Adventure Filmmaker Workshop & Speaker Series

The Adventure Filmmakers Workshop is an exceptional chance for independent and emerging filmmakers to advance their skills under the guidance of two of the world’s premier and proven adventure filmmakers. During a jam-packed 2 days in the spring, participants will hone their craft, strengthen their skills, whilst networking with fellow filmmakers, industry insiders, and decision-makers.

The Mountain Speaker Series will be held throughout the festival. We will feature adventurers, scientists, and conservationists with presentations on an array of topics ranging from expedition stories to conservation projects.
